The changes to Alpha are live - thanks for all the constructive criticism - and we are now looking for beta-testers for Omega, a new skin that will soon enough replace Tango.
A vertical navigation system
Omega is based on a vertical navigation system, unlike Alpha which caters for a horizontal navigation system, and it’s a nod to the other side of the spectrum. Both are standard approaches to navigational options (‘menus’ if you like) on most websites, and we’re pretty happy with the way it turned out. You want to build a website for a photographic portfolio? You should definitely have a look at how we tackle photos in this skin as that aspect turned out pretty good too.
If you want to try out the new skin please contact us and we’ll switch your site for you. Please specify which site you want to switch and remember to send us feedback while we are still in development mode. As soon as we are happy (enough) with how it works and looks Omega will be available to everyone via the skins tab.
Another photographer, Cape Town Stylist, Mantsho, Apartment Applied Visual Arts and Lab Media are all early switchers and so far, so good.
