New feature: zip-file uploads

We’ll be talking about a couple of new features next: some of them overdue in terms of what you need, and some overdue in terms of where we see the app go. First up: zip-file uploads.

Categories: Features, Functionality and How to

Upload many files at the same time

Uploading image files one-by-one to an album has always been slightly laborious: browse to a file on your desktop, select it, make sure you haven’t uploaded it before, hit the button and wait for the upload to finish up. It was a bit frustrating and there was room for improvement.

Now you can upload zip-files to any album to quickly populate it with content. Simply archive relevant images together, and upload the zipped file. We’ll take care of the rest: but for best results keep your archive file clear of non-supported file-types and folders, and make sure all files are named uniquely.

You can still add images one-by-one; we suggest a workflow of uploading a zip-file to populate your albums initially, and then add new images individually as you go along - the choice is yours.

We look forward to what you build with this feature: and how quickly you will be able to do it.

Where: available to any album you create.
How: simply upload the zip and we do the rest.
