The ultimate in Cape arts, culture and entertainment
October 8th, 2007

Cape Etc Magazine recently approached us with a commonplace problem: take an existing site, simplify it and make it easy to manage. Apart from enabling full content-management for their site, we took the opportunity to freshen up the design, enhance the legibility and bring their web presence more in-line with their magazine. The result is a clean, undemanding site setting the scene with strong branding and a design ethos that blends with its real world offering, hooked up to an easy-as-pie content management app.

A photo moment
July 22nd, 2007

Beauty Pictures is a boutique site featuring dramatic pictures of a Cape Town-based beauty photographer Helena Grier. Apart from the striking content, we think the most interesting aspect of the site is the way one navigates to an image. The perfect web publishing tool for estate agents
January 21st, 2007

I sold my flat a couple of years ago through a mutual friend, and have recently connected with him again as I wanted him to see what Tank could do for him and his real estate business. Locally, many estate agents are caught in that trap of only publishing their listings, and not going any further than that.

It’s all about jump-starting…
January 12th, 2007

We’ve just finished up another portfolio piece, this time for a slightly different kettle of fish: a clubbing website called e-vent. It’s been my ‘contribution’ to the Cape Town (clubbing) scene, and has had it’s fair share of re-designs over the years. The site has been around since 1999 and has evolved into a small community commenting about the local scene, or lack thereof. I also post flyers on a semi-regular basis. I’d go as far to say it was a blog before that phrase was even coined.

Focussing on the real deal
November 16th, 2006

One of the first sites we built using tank is AasvoĆ«lkrans. It is a bed and breakfast in Montagu run by Alan’s mom. It is quite a simple site, so we built it in record time.
